Twenty years of road deaths in County Tipperary
Between 2006 and 2024, 214 people were killed on the roads of County Tipperary. With at least 11 more named in 2025 and 5 to the end of August 2026, the twenty-year toll is around 230. These are the official and documented figures — set out so the loss is not an abstraction.

The Cahir–Cashel district — which includes Killardry Bridge
On the RSA’s mapped collisions for 2016–2024, the district around Cahir and Cashel accounts for about 23 fatal collisions and 25 deaths — roughly a third of the county’s mapped fatalities from a single district. (approximate lat/long filter, not official MD boundary.) This is the district that includes Killardry Bridge at Kilmoyler, where Bronagh English died on 24 April 2025.
No fatal pin on the L3101 Aherlow crossing in the RSA 2016-2024 map; nothing within 2km. Bronagh English (24 Apr 2025) is the only named fatality ever at Killardry Bridge / L3101 / L3151, 2006-2026. Not yet in RSA data. N24 is the dominant named fatal corridor (Bansha, Cahir, Clonmel, Kilsheelan, Carrick, Kilmoyler, Cordangan).
What this shows, and does not
- Tipperary’s road toll is severe and sustained: 214 killed in nineteen years to 2024.
- 2023 was the worst recent year — 16 killed — driven by two multi-fatality crashes.
- Killardry Bridge was not a mapped fatal blackspot before 2025: there is no fatal pin within two kilometres of the L3101 crossing in the 2016–2024 data. Bronagh’s is the only recorded death there.
- This is not a coroner’s list. The RSA’s record-level database is not public; 2025 and 2026 county totals are not yet published; 2006–2015 locations are largely unmapped.
