Surface dressing and resealing (RSR)

What a road reseal is, and how it changes a road surface.

Restoration of Skid Resistance (RSR) and surface dressing apply new binder and chippings over an existing road. The work restores grip and seals the surface, and it adds a layer of material on top of the existing level. Where gullies or verges are not adjusted to match, a reseal can change how water leaves the carriageway.
